Smart Sugar (NaturaLife Bakery PALATINOSETM) 8g powder is a specifically technological product used as a substitute for classic sugar, brown sugar (sucrose), honey or various sweeteners in hot and cold beverages (coffee, tea, juices, smoothies, shakes) and is the only alternative to these sweeteners from a natural source with the health claim according to EU Commission Regulation No. 432/2012.
NaturaLife Bakery PALATINOSETM is a naturally sourced smart carbohydrate (sugar beet), providing full carbohydrate energy (4kcal/g) in a more balanced way thanks to its low-glycaemic profile 32 which allows the body to supply glucose naturally in a balance manner .
PalatinoseTM has a mild, natural sweetness (approximately 50% of sucrose), without any aftertaste. It replaces sucrose on a 1:1 scale and can easily be combined with other sweeteners to achieve a unique and tailored sweetness profile. It absorbs virtually no moisture and remains stable at a temperature of 25 °C and relative humidity up to 85 %.
The use of palatinose / isomaltulose in bakery and sweets products achieves a high proportion of slow-release carbohydrates. According to Commission Regulation (EC) No 432/2012, consumption of products with a high content of slow-release carbohydrates (isomaltulose palatosis) promotes lower blood glucose after their intake compared to foods / drinks containing sugar.
